Our HR department is responsible for and takes pride in all people-related issues within the organisation. It is the first point of contact for a prospective employee, since they are tasked with resourcing talent and developing Fairbanks' workforce. Once new staff are on-board with us, HR makes sure that everything is done to ensure a smooth transition into their new environment, including scheduling inductions and training programmes to help to fully integrate them into the company infrastructure.
The HR department provides ongoing support to every employee throughout their entire employment with the company and each year, conducts a staff engagement survey to make sure that any issues are revealed and addressed. It collaborates with all departments and line managers to ensure that employee welfare and employee relations are positive. The team also ensures that regular appraisals are carried out and any training needs are captured; their commitment to continuous improvement is at the top of their agenda.
In addition to maintaining staff well-being, HR also takes care of all compensation, from payroll to employee benefits.
Our learning and development team is dedicated to continually developing our staff; and employees are encouraged to complete periodic 'refresher' programmes to help them progress in their roles. In addition, staff are invited to participate in specialist and higher education courses. Higher Education courses may be funded by the company if they are relevant to the business.
Our training team is also responsible for providing training to our licensee base around the globe, educating them on how to use our in-house software to provide specialist independent wetstock monitoring services to customers worldwide.
Both departments encourage and support employees to develop in their roles and this has recently been recognised by ‘Investors in People’ who have awarded the company with a Gold certificate.
