HSQE are in charge of the quality assessment of our systems and practices. Fairbanks already holds ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001, as well as OHSAS 18001 and it is HSQE who make sure that the standards laid down by the international organisation are adhered to by all members of staff. When staff spend time on-site, the HSQE department provide them with a detailed training programme beforehand to ensure that they are aware of specific procedures to be followed. Where necessary, they will suggest that employees undertake external health and safety programmes to make sure they have the knowledge to safely carry out their tasks.
As our OSS technicians spend the majority of time on the forecourt away from office, it is important that their work is periodically subjected to quality control assessments. To perform such checks, HQSE will accompany the technician to site and conduct a comprehensive review of their operation over the course of the day, suggesting improvements where required.
The HSQE department regularly review existing processes, updating them when necessary to fit with the ever-evolving fuel industry. New processes are also defined by the team as Fairbanks takes on fresh and exciting projects, to ensure that all health, safety and environmental policies are followed in the correct manner.
