certas energy awards
In October, Fairbanks attended the National Association of Convenience Stores event, held in Las Vegas. Tony Mills, Global Sales and Marketing Director, along with Regional Sales Managers, Matt Ward and Patrick Foan, attended in order to sell our services to the global market. They also met with US distributor ‘Crompco’, who, moving forward will help to sell Station Manager 365 to forecourt owners across the states.
The trip resulted in some exciting developments for Fairbanks. Tanknology USA will be visiting Chile in December to discuss our SIR services, with the hope of an American licensee being set up further down the line. In addition, an agreement was made to redouble the efforts developing the connection between ProGauge and Fairbanks.
Fairbanks win milestone award
We’re delighted to report that Fairbanks won the Milestone Award, sponsored by Washtec at APEA Live 2014 in Coventry on Wednesday night. This was in recognition to everyone who has helped the business reach 10,000 forecourts on service in 2014.
APEA Live 2014 was an exceptional day, not just because of the award but also for the amazing response we received for the launch of our new service, Station Manager 365.
We’d like to thank all the organisers of APEA Live 2014 as well as our guests, for an unforgettable day and evening!
winner at red rose awards
Fairbanks are delighted to have been awarded yet another business award in Lancashire – The Red Rose International Achievement Award.
Organised by Lancashire Business View magazine, The Red Rose Awards and the accompanying Gala Dinner was held on 13th March at Blackpool Winter Gardens. We were honoured to be competing with such a varied group of admirable local businesses, and couldn't be more pleased with the result.
Fairbanks is pleased to announce that our ISO & BS registration has been extended to now include certification to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, following the development and implementation of a comprehensive and sophisticated Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management system.
Registration to ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 by an independent, third party certification body demonstrates Fairbanks’ commitment to implementing, maintaining and continually improving its Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems to a standard that benefits the company, its employees and clients.
Customers whose contractors are registered to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 can be confident that they are meeting the requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and that they are setting targets through company policy, together with ongoing measurements to ensure a process of continual improvement.
Ian Burns, HSQE Manager: “The Company has been certified ISO 9001 for quite a while now and it was only a matter of time before we committed to developing our other management systems to higher ISO standards. In 2012 it was agreed that I would develop the Health, Safety and Environmental management systems. Rather than contract external consultants to carry out the work I committed to doing this in-house, believing it would be of more value to the business. Following a gap analysis it was clear that although our existing policies were comprehensive, there was still work ahead of us, to bring them in line with higher ISO standards.
By implementing a joint ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Management System I am confident that Fairbanks is in a better position to discover and control the hazards & risks to the company, its employees and its clients, as well as identifying and controlling the effects our company has on the environment.”
